Houston: In response to the increasing demand for hazardous area compliance solutions in the Asia-Pacific and the Middle East, ATEC announced a global restructuring plan whereby it is relocating its headquarters of The ATEC Training Academy from Houston, Texas to Singapore.
Tommy Sutherland – Group Chairman of ATEC and EUTEX Group commented: “We have 4 of our current 6 CompEx/IECEx Training & Assessment Centre’s in Asia-Pacific & The Middle East and are on schedule to open 2 more training Centre’s by the end of 2018. This, along with a new Australian initiative, means that it made sense to consolidate our academy headquarters to Singapore. The Singapore team have achieved outstanding growth in the last 5 years facilitating the opening of Centre’s and training in Singapore, Myanmar, India, Brunei, and Perth (Australia) and we see this as a strategic step to help further grow the global training business unit”
“This decision will not change our commitment to our training centre in Houston, Texas and our business development efforts in the Americas” – adds Tommy Sutherland. “The Americas continue to be an important and integral part of our business and remains the group's corporate headquarters. The change is to help facilitate and service clients from a similar time zone in an increasingly busy area”
